About Debbie
Debbie Ruggles is a certified Life Coach who has walked the Alzheimer’s caregiving journey and grief following the death of her beloved husband, Roy. Debbie has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling with an emphasis in Chaplaincy so she is uniquely qualified to walk, one-on-one, with those who are caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or some other form of dementia and those whose caregiving journey has ended.
After forty years in public transit management, Debbie became an active volunteer in the dementia arena. In addition to life coaching, she facilitates five support groups, in-person and virtual, and serves as a community educator presenting programs about Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Debbie served as an intern at the Alzheimer’s Association, has been trained as a Dementia Practitioner, and has attended hundreds of hours of training related to Dementia.
Debbie lost Roy almost two years ago. He had both Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia. They had been together 43 years. Together, they had two children, Lauren and Jordan.
